Calling any Nokia 6600/6680 owners - VisualVoicemail for iPhone

Hi guys,

I'm working on getting Visual Voicemail working for the Optus Network. I need some help though. I need someone who has either a Nokia 6600 or Nokia 6680 for me to extract Optus's VVMail settings.

Cheers

Actually I've just extracted the configuration details.

All I need now is someone on Optus.

You need 1.1.2 for this to work.

Here is a quick rundown on what I have discovered.

Here is an extract of the Carrier settings for O2 UK. I shall bold important key information:

So does it work or not?

I thought apple had worked on the visual voicemail tech with AT&T/Cingular.

From the looks of it there are several different standards at the moment.

I haven't tested out anything yet since I'm on Telstra not Optus.

1.1.2 has support for two standards; IMAP for the European carriers and ACDS for AT&T which is proprietary.

I have no idea whether it works with Telstra.

Perhaps someone who works with Telstra or is willing to call up Sales to query if there is a similar service from Telstra could find out?

I have an N70 (my old phone) and an account with Optus. But I'm having trouble getting to 1.1.2. Some more information would be useful. Google doesn't reveal much about where you're getting your info from.
