Battery Warning!

Good Morning all. Enjoying the cricket are we?
..........(throws mental rocks at Exocet sitting in a corporate box at the "Gabba"!)

Problem!

I am not getting the usual, "You are now running on reserve battery power" warning, and I can't seem to find in option to show/ Hide this in preferences anywhere.

Any ideas?

If it's the MacBook, sounds like a battery issue.
I had something similar (random shutdowns) because the battery did not warn me it was low. Basically cuts off at around 20% remaining (not the 3 or 5% as usual).

Get a service centre to have a look at the battery, if you suspect it is not holding a charge/charging issue.

My macbook was doing this and turned out that the battery was buggered. Take it into a reseller and they should replace it for you (if it is under warranty).

If not this, take back to service centre.

Quite the contrary, Apple tends to give you things when it happens, like a Macbook Pro -> http://mactalk.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=28926

still... not as serious as... being plugged into your iPod on volume 11, while surfing on a MacBook in a quiet field - and then being unexpectly mowed down by a combine harvester...?
