Are Virgin data speeds reasonable or slow?
I'm thinking about going with virgin for my mobile given their reasonable rates. I want to know if the speed for regular browsing, searches and email is painfully slow or if it is reasonable. Can anyone hwo uses the virgin mobile plan throw in their opinion?

I use mobile friendly websites and find it just fine. I upgraded my iphone to 1.1.1 the other day and it seems faster ??. I dont know if its my imagination or not, but yeah, even with google maps and the like, it feels pretty good.

For $10 for 300mb you cant go wrong.

If you have a 3G phone, I'm sure it's wonderful.

Using GPRS (not even EDGE) on the iPhone or another 2G phone is comparable to dialup speed on full signal (and excruciating when the signal is bad). Hence I on;y pay $5 for the 50MB, because there's no way given the average speed that I'd exceed that (or want to when much better, faster access is just a WiFi hotspot away).

cool, I've seen it run data via telstra and it wasn't great, but it was okay. how does virgin compare to telstra, mch slower?

also, how do blackberries compare to iphone speed wise?
