Forced Reset of Iphone

Folks,

I had a problem the other day - that the screen came up and it got stuck at the apple loading I tried restoring it and the restore failed and now everytime i turn it on i go to a white screen and nothing happens. Restore always fails

Try a "forced" reset.

Turn phone off.

Make sure that Itunes is loaded on your PC.

Hold home button for 10 seconds.---only the home button, not the sleep button like you do in a hard reset. while continuing to hold the home button, plug phone into your iTunes.

Continue to hold home button until iTunes tells you you are performing a forced restore. If that works, you should be able to follow the steps and restore your phone. Do not restore to your previous phone...set it up as a new one. Sorry..you are losing all your data on the phone..hope you have recently synced.

It worked for me - and I am sooooo happy..

Good luck..
