Push IMAP for Gmail on iPhone (and other providers supporting IDLE)
iPhone users enjoying IMAP in the built-in mail app from services which support IDLE (such as Gmail) will be interested to have a look at this app, which promises to provide true "push" functionality.

That is, rather than having to set your iPhone mail client to poll for mail every 15 mins, you can get a real-time notification of incoming mail.

Quick note - I've tried this and had it set up with what I thought was working, but I hadn't changed the auto-check of my mail so it seems I was only getting messages every 15 mins. Once I turned it off, I'm not getting notifications.

So I don't think it's functioning correctly for me. Did anyone else give it a shot?
