Edge won’t turn off

Hi guys No matter what I do Edge will not turn off , The E is always at the top , I installed Services app thinking that would turn it off , I click the off button and once I go back to the springbroad The E comes back I’ve look around and can’t find anything else , its probably something simple and im just a noob. Im on pre-paid virgin mobile and using 1.1.1. Id be really grateful if anyone can come up with some ideas

It is like that. The E appears all the time, unless you are connected to a wireless network.

Services.app simply "turns off" EDGE by changing the APN to "DISABLED" (which is obviously a fake APN).

So don't worry. The E is always there

No worries.

The only thing that drains battery would be SSH if you have that installed (it is possible if you used Independence or have OpenSSH installed).

Services.app will tell you the state of SSH, as will UIctl.app

Same goes for bluetooth/wireless.
