Cool. He's got balls ripping open an $800 phone and doing a hack like this though.

The hack looks pretty damn cool.
As for the classic support, maybe someone can whip up a piece of software to run classic

Reason: On second thought, I better add the quote so people don't think I dropped an iPhone doing this...

How about the Citizen CC phone! Make it black and put some custom graphics and music on it and its some how a design revolution?? Am I missing something?

that black iPhone looks great but that bezel where the home button is ruins it. keep the small form factor of the original phone and it would be very sexy!!!
my 2 cents

Ah... so many many things going on here...
a) Cool! And... Cool!! I know a guy in SanFran who'd do something like that without a second thought... He's been planning ripping the guts out of a TAM for years, and putting in a better quality LCD, latest model motherboard... He'll get there one day. Some people just have no fear about things like that.
b)
That's Apple's Newton logo... This just has "Apple's old rainbow logo"... And due to the colour, and placement, and general shape of the device, it now has a resemblance to the Newton...
c) Ahhhhh Shufflepuck Cafe....
