Travelling/Roaming
Hey guys

Just need some clarification on what roaming is and how it works.

I am driving up to Queensland tommorow and was just wondering if I'll run into any issues with my iPhone...

I am with Telstra at the moment....will it switch me onto GSM when I'm out of Sydney? Will that cost me at all.

Sorry for being so stupid....just leaning as I go.

Mate you're already on GSM at the moment.

GSM is the base network, GPRS and EDGE are the data overlays. EDGE is everywhere on Telstra's GSM network, so as long as there's GSM coverage you're in business.
