iPhone after leopard - Fails to Sync now :-(

I've experienced a pretty major issue with Leopard in that my iPhone will now no longer complete a sync. It just sits there waiting to complete but will never go all the way thru

I did have some success last night when setting it in advanced to force update from MAC TO PHONE. But then the problem started again on the next normal sync

I think its as issue with Calenders and Contacts but for the lifeof me cant work out which ones are causing the issue. Manually shutting off syncing to iCal and Address book doesn't work either

Anyone else have problems?

Yeah very weird. Just had another play with iSync etc

I deleted an old phone (Nokia N73) off iSync and cleared all sync information.

Then in iTunes forced a sync from computer to phone.

That works fine. However a normal sync will still hang

Its no life threatening but still a pain in the backside!

I'm not having any issues at all (1.0.2) but I also don't use iSync (don't even hve the iPhone registered in iSync), I just use iTunes... could this be the problem?

on 1.1.1, up until yesterday syncing was fine - now, like Alessiman, my sync just hangs. Tried the same approach as Alessiman, but no joy
I removed "old" Nokia 7710 from isync, removed device, then did a search - got the message Localhost (my iphone I guess) "isync canno connect to this device"

then the old Nokia appeared with the same message

Sync still hangs no matter what i do - any help?

oh, still using Tiger, so maybe it's not an issue related to Leopard??

in the summary tab - iTunes/iphone there's a "restore" option - if I do this will it remove my 1.1.1 lock and brick the pnone? or should I try to restore to its original settings?

ok problem solved - there's a thread "iPhone not syncing contacts properly" - followed the suggestion and it all works ok now
Solution: reset sync history in iSync, after removing unused device

Funny this I've also got an old N73 and having problems with my cloud not having all my contacts. Just backed up my address book. Manually deleted all the contacts from macbook and the cloud. Synced this blank data to make sure it was clear of all contacts. I then imported the address book archive onto my macbook and synced this up to the cloud. The cloud and iPhone now has all the contacts. I am just trying to test newly created items to make sure they are sitting up on the cloud / iPhone.
