And a good way to destroy the battery too.

Don't be surprised to see a lot of data collection apps come out for the Touch/iPhone. Long battery life in the field and and UI designed for a finger rather than a stylus that can be broken or lost. With some lateral thinking, the Touch could be taken into totally different areas than Apple first envisioned.

Yup, lets get a computationally and bandwidth expensive application on a mobile platform... bye bye battery life, bye bye quota...

Heck, get enough of those iPhones on the air and they'd have a decent chance in bringing down a cell...

If the SDK is done well (and I don't see why it wouldn't be) there is already a market in existence.
The Palm / Windows Mobile market is certainly not out of reach for a device such as the iPod Touch which has built in Wi-Fi and can potentially have a significant competitive advantage in that development costs and device costs are potentially quite a bit lower than the competition.

Battery app is a certainty IF its possible. Will need to see if apple have provided the right frameworks to make it possible.
You will need to talk to the icetv guys about an icetv app but i've heard rumors they may do an iPhone website
