iPhone 1.1.1 - Voicemail notification issue tentatively fixed
Hey guys,
A little bird has told me that the issue with iPhone and the voicemail notifications has been resolved - it relates to the handling of short numbers (e.g 321)
I'll do some testing with this tonight, please don't go upgrading yet because at the moment, there is no unlock for 1.1.1.

wooooohooooo anyone confirm this? im sick of not getting voicemail notificaiton adn vodafone 123 cant sms me the numbers anymore...well they can i just dont get them.

This is great news. I am in Canada, and the GSM provider I am with here that doesn't use the proper voice messaging icon. Rather they use the text messages - but obviously I don't get them.
So I'm looking forward to this!

I was unable to get my phone to work with 1.1.1 and activated.

did you follow the jailbreak instructions for 1.1.1 and install apptapp?

didn't get that far, the baseband is screwed and the wifi doesn't work too well. couldn't install anything once i got it updated to 1.1.1

i had that issue once with 1.0.2 restore in itunes does the trick i guess you could do the same it happened to me when i tried to do the activation to many times the wifi disappeared all together it said "No Wifi"

Sorry guys, tracked the wifi issue on my phone to the coaxial cables for the antenna. and i'm not going to upgrade to 1.1.1 yet on my main phone.
Perhaps someone with a 1.1.1 can shed some light now that the unlock is out?

I'm on 1.1.1 with Optus and get messages from 357 (missed call service)
Can anyone confirm Telstra or Voda?

unlocked 1.1.1 and voice mail notification works fine on my pre-paid virgin
