iPhone and Mobile friendly sites

Now that we all have our iPhones unlocked, I figured we should maybe share with eachother some mobile friendly websites to limit out data usage when not connected to a wifi network.

Here are some of mine.

1. Mac Rumours - http://mobile.macrumors.com/
2. Mac Rumors iPhone Blog - http://mobile.macrumors.com/iphone/
3. Beejive (great for MSN/AIM) - https://iphone.beejive.com:8389/ajax/
4. 131500 Mobile - http://mobile.131500.com.au/mobile/index.asp (awesome for checking when the next bus/train or ferry is coming)
5. Yourtime - Movies - http://mobile.yourtime.com.au/movies
6. Yourtime - TV - http://mobile.yourtime.com.au/tv/
7. Yourtime - Restaurants - http://mobile.yourtime.com.au/restaurants/

http://tadalist.com <- todo list from 37signal. Very useful as the iPhone has no damn todo list.

Good topic, I was just thinking the same.

This one comes in very handy:

http://www.google.com.au/m

It's probably too much to ask, but does anyone know if Connex or Yarra trams have sites for PT in Melbourne? Given that they haven't updated the software running on the screens on the train platforms in over 20 years, I know it's unlikely...

Hahaha! Not likely. Connex are trapped somewhere between 1995 and 1999 at the moment. This lag is not dissimilar to the average delay to their train services either. They are one of the many companies out there that haven't quite cottoned onto the fact that you can connect to the internet from mobiles nowadays. They do have a couple of limited SMS services though.

The most "useful" links from a mobile point of view (but not well formatted):

Yeah those SMS services were useless for all purposes other than waking me at ungodly hours. I unsubscribed long ago.

I wish the iPhone could save PDF timetables - hmm, maybe it's a case of iPhoto to the rescue?

Another useful site is http://www.qantas.com.au/flightinfo/dyn/wap/home Its great for checking Qantas arrivals and departures to see if your flight is on time, or if you are picking someone up at the airport, what time their flt is due in.

Two shameless self-promoting links:

http://iphonecamviewer.com - simple site for viewing webcams or IP security cameras. I have mine configured to show a few security cameras from my shop over SSL and the BOM weather radar.

http://www.quotesheet.net/ - an iPhone module for the online quotation software my company develops. More use to small businesses / tradies etc doing quotes on the road.

Mods - feel free to delete if linking to your own websites isn't appropriate.

Oh, the Meebo IM service - the address to use for that is:
http://wwwm.meebo.com/mobile

Don't forget the 'm' or you'll get a 404 error.
