Will there be a good selection of cases available on July 11 or the 3G iPhone?

BTW. With the ZAGG Invisible Shield, they are not shipping until mid Suly. so if your planning to get an iPhone on launch date, take extra care until your shield comes.

It wouldn't come out, I'd just use the headphones/mic that come with it.

Like tcn33, nine months on, no case. Works fine, no drops or dents/scratches.

I'll reckon they'll be dozens. I really like they Beyza cases, but their shipping costs to Oz are ridiculous.
I got a Belkin one in Oregon last year at an AT&T store. It was "just OK" - there will be better ones available - a nice excuse to visit the new Apple store.

I don't really use cases at all, so a pouch is good for me as I don't need some ugly case ruining the design when using it, but the pouch keeps it protected and clean when in my pocket/bag.

I was also considering a foofpod ( foof » MacBook Sleeve Case » foofbag - iPod Soft Pouch » foofpod) with lambswool interior.

I am hoping that the Mophie guys come out with a iPhone 3G "case" for the phone. It really isn't a case but it is protective and for grins it is also a lithium-polymer battery that gives you some extra juice - and it is so light!!!
