In short:
Please don't post a new iPhone thread without doing a search or considering whether it belongs in one of our sticky threads.
There's a lot to get excited about with the imminent release of the iPhone in Australia. But of course, our favourite company is notoriously secretive.
As a consequence, there will be many rumours and much speculation and analysis about what's happening to bring us closer to that eventuality. In the absence of any real, official news out of Apple the media feeds itself and any such 'news' will spread virally.
Everything iPhone-related tends to get discussed to death on this site, so to keep numerous threads about iPhone news / media / speculation / procurement / unlocking / tech support overwhelming the rest of the forum, we've set up a few separate threads and forums that you should consider posting in before you hit the 'New Thread' button.
Many other topics of interest can be found in the dedicated iPhone forums, particularly the
Guides and How-To's forum. If you can't find what you're interested in straight off the bat, please try a simple
forum search to see if it might have been covered already.
If you can't find anything relevant after considering the above, then feel free to create a new thread in the relevant forum.
In any case, please be aware that if your new thread does cover old ground, you may find that your thread disappears and is merged into another. Please don't be offended by this, it's simply housekeeping so that we can keep these somewhat sprawling iPhone parts of the forums in order.
So please take a moment to think and search before you post a new thread - you'll be doing all of us a favour!
Cheers.
