They're the same pics as Engadget's previous report, which are still up. If they were actual spy shots then they'd be long gone.
edit: here's the text...

Slow news day? Not anymore! Dutch communitysites iPhoneclub.nl and Macfreak.nl both received a couple of pictures of the supposed new casing of the second generation iPhone. These pictures havent surfaced on the internet before. According to the source - who wishes to remain anonymous - these pics originate from a well known European accessory maker. The pictures show a striking resemblance to earlier spyphotos of a white iPhone and confirm once again that the next generation iPhone will have a curved back, possibly to make room for a bigger (and more powerful) battery, needed for the more powerhungry 3G functionality.
The white casing is a rather unusual choice for Apple, because recent product versions of the iPodand MacBook have moved away from white in favor of silver and aluminium. The front pic also shows no evidence of a front camera for internetportal.com - Getty Images, Gout, Glasses chat and/or video calling, which - according to earlier rumors - was believed to be one of the new features.

I don't like that white design. Not that it's going to stop me getting one...
If Apple are going to go for that style 'glossy white', they need to bring out a black one.
Matte Black/Carbon Fiber style, similar to that of the Black MB.
I'm a man of dark colours, but then again, my MB is white.
He seems to be relying a lot on analysts who dont seem to have a clue!

Apple, based in Cupertino, California, had shipped about 5.5 million phones by the end of March, the most recent figures it has released. It sold just 1.7 million phones in the first three months of this year, meaning it must sell more than 8 million phones to reach Jobs's publicly stated goal of selling 10 million iPhones in 2008.
"They're going to have a difficult time" hitting that number, said Edward Snyder, an analyst at Charter Equity Research.
The analysts seem to keep forgetting that currently the iPhone is just officially in 4 countries. Come June, July most of the Americas, Aust, NZ, India, Singapore and the rest of Europe will all come online... with the world waiting to buy reaching 10 million in 2008 will be easy.. I think 15 million will be closer to phones sold (assuming stock is not an issue).

The only major countries without an iPhone distribution agreement are Japan, Russia and China.
Two things about this... a) I think South Korea would be pretty pissed not to be called a major country (especially when it comes to mobile phones)
b) South Korea and Japan will not add significantly to iPhone sales unless there is some localised version. In these countries (like the LG Prada) the iPhone will be more a niche market... mostly Apple fan boys/girls who want the latest from Cupertino. Apple know this and that is why there has been no word from any of the carriers... the phone will get to these countries later rather than sooner.

But analysts say faster downloads may not be enough to touch off a new wave of consumer interest in the iPhone.
"Subscribers don't care what the radio interface of their cellular phone is," Snyder said.
What crack is this guy smoking...
The article goes on to say
Quote:
IPhone users have turned out to be prodigious consumers of wireless data. For example, the iPhone customers of T-Mobile, the German cellular operator, consume 30 times more data than its other wireless customers, according to Chetan Sharma, an independent wireless industry analyst
So if iPhone users are data using monsters doesn't it just make sense that faster bandwidth is vital for iPhone users...
3G is critical... pundits were saying you wouldnt be able to sell an iPhone in Europe without 3G... so far the pundits seem to be pretty right, with sales numbers in Europe not as high as I think Apple or the carriers would have liked... the 3G phone will change all of that.
The iPhone is the only phone that made a 2nd internet (not including proprietary 2nd tier internet that Japanese users have been using for a decade now). All these iPhone optimised sites show that people know what the iPhone is.. it is not just another phone it is the mobile phone that is defining the very world we live in.
10 million phones by the end of the year... easy!!!

This one is also cited incorrectly, not just here but often. Steve actually said (at MWSF 2007) that they would sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008 - not just during 2008.
Another 4.5 million in nine months? They'll do it by Halloween.

nahh.. I thought so too.. I just watched it again... it is 10m in 08
I hope the white isn't true, or that there is a black option. There would have to be a black option for sure.. Perhaps they'll do a nano and release different coloured models later down the track. Imagine how quickly the white one is going to date in terms of getting marks etc, even if you're like me and take good care of your Apple stuff.
So game consoles. 26 million game consoles were sold in 2006 worldwide, actually a little smaller than youd think. Its not such a big market. Digital cameras dwarfed it at 94 million. MP3 players 135 million. And PCs, about 209. Mobile phones, just about a billion last year, worldwide. So what does this tell you? What this tells you is, that 1 percent market share equals 10 million units. This is a giant market. One percent market share, youre going to sell 10 million phones. And this is exactly what were going to try to do in 2008, our first full year in the market, is grab 1 percent market share and go from there. So were going to enter a very competitive market, lot of players, we think were going to have the best product in the world, and were going to go for it and see if we can get 1 percent market share, 10 million units in 2008, and go from there.
