He offered me some loyalty credits to keep my number with them a bit longer. I agreed.
We had an interesting discussion about the iPhone on Optus. All I'll say is it won't be available on Optus as soon as people maybe thinking!

No reason why you can't tell us exactly what he said...

Exactly. If Optus are allowed to tell you, who could be anyone as far as they know, then you can tell us without getting in trouble...

As Crazy Johns are a Vodafone MNVO, and Vodafone have announced their intentions I'm sure they're just trying to get as many presales as possible.

Funny how the bottom two photos on Crazy Johns interest page are with Cingular as a provider!

There's a reason Vodafone and Optus don't use pictures, the phone they're showing isn't the one people are going to get.

In other words Optus don't know - they are only guessing the price too. I think the only conclusive thing we've heard is that WWDC is on June 9th. $700 unlocked sounds about right.
Anyway, welcome!

Or more accurately, the person they roped in to man the Optus booth at CeBIT isn't in the loop. Because anyone who knows anything would be under NDA.

That article is TERRIBLE.
WWDC starts June 9, not June 6, stupid error.
Apple NEVER said ANYTHING about what they would show at WWDC. The 2.0 software is a given, but Apple never said it would show it at WWDC (they didn't say they wouldn't).
