Who cares? It's still coming to Vodafone (at least). The fact that Telstra has it basically means no more revenue sharing which also points to an unlocked phone.

If anyone ever says EVER AGAIN that Apple can keep secrets I'll kill them.

Much to the disappointment of my broken heart this is true - a good friend returned from the UK last week and iPhones were sold out everywhere.

So no iPhone for me

That's probably lucky for you, now you can just get a local 3G version very soon (hopefully). I'd be pretty mad If I had bought an iPhone in the last couple of weeks.

Went to allphones to kill 2 minutes before I met w/ mates at the shopping centre.. I asked the bloke if he's heard anything new from carriers re: iphone.. he said Virgin made the announcement several hours ago (surprise surprise)... No idea where on the interwebs i'll find that statement/announcement.. and don't care either.

Back on topic, I can't wait for the iphone but it needs 2.0 firmware to really make me drool. It's why I haven't picked one up till now.

I was listening to Macosken last night, he said it's been announced that Vodafone here will have the iPhone, so it's good news that it won't be Telstra!!!!

The fact that your posting here means that you care.
