You weren't ever teasing. At the risk of calling it too early, to me it's pretty clear to everyone on these forums how it's all going to play out

Definitely fake - inspection in Photoshop after invert shows obvious signs of editing in my opinion. Also it looks nothing like an Apple's typical symmetric / geometric design; and thirdly Apple's not about to change the shape of the iPhone at this stage as the look is already synonymous with the device.

If you zoom in on the Apple icon it doesn't appear to be symmetrical.

hey, i agree with macuzer and jun, i reckon the apple log doesn't appear to be in the centre... if you know what i mean, also around the home button on the frontal shot it appear to be a bit 'blacker' where i think they edited out other buttons on another phone.
i am still pretty eager for the iphone to come out though! my 2 yr optus contract ran out about 7 months ago! ive just been waiting with my original Motorola V3 (it is getting old but lasting).
i just wanted to make a speculation that the iphone will come out in a 3G model and an updated edge model, what do you guys think?

That picture's a fake, iLounge update the story and pointed out the shape is exactly the same as an LG phone.
First 3G iPhone pics appear online? [updated: No.] | iLounge News
I gotta say, after going over all the news and rumours it's panfully obvious that the next version of the iPhone will be 3G and be released worldwide in June, that's why Australia and Italy etc. have had rumours about unlocked iPhones, but it will also be available on contracts with certain carriers which explains the AT&T subsidy and the Optus deal. I can totally see Steve Jobs at WWDC standing up and admitting their customers didn't want what they offered (he's done similar things before with the AppleTV for example) and announcing the new iPhone and a worldwide release. After all the unlocking and selling overseas (400000 in China) it would be stupid of Apple to do anything else.

Heres a new article from Apple Insider
AppleInsider | Apple's cash; new 10.5.3 seed; 3G iPhone photos; Boston store size
Quote:
More photos purported to be that of Apple's upcoming 3G iPhone have surfaced on the Chinese-language discussion forums of WeiPhone.com. The images depict an iPhone clad in a white plastic shell with added sensors and modified microphone and speaker grills, matching a recent description of the next-generation device recently posted over at iLongue.

Although the images are almost certainly inauthentic mockups or third-party casings, they're being republished for the sake of discussion.

Why aren't there shots of the screen? Again with the shiny plastic looking back, scratches galore.

Yes Optus Gets The iPhone

According to the well respected and often spot on web site, appleinsider.com, Apple may use Australia as a test-bed and sell the iPhone in a non-exclusive deal, although under a very different agreement than has been done before with other carriers.
