I'm pretty sure that at least in Australia (maybe everywhere starting with the 3G iPhone?) it will be sold unlocked

GAH! beat me to it! :P Yeah bets are that Three Australia will grab it too. It'd be suicide not to!
I'll be relieved that I can keep my 49 cap plan then.. But.. the x-series plans are a bit pricey.. Unless there's a skype app for the iphone? :P

well 3 in HK and Macau have 2G and 3G networks, so by saying Just those two area's doesnt give away a 3G iphone, correct?
Wait until the 3G iphone gets announced, then you will hear from 3.

Well I'd always thought 3 wouldn't make an announcement because it would give too much away, but I wasn't aware 3 had 2G networks in those countries which explains why they didn't announce for Australia (or the rest of Europe where they have networks).

I wonder if Three hasn't made any announcements here because they haven't found a way to rebrand it and push their own planet 3 and xseries applications on the iPhone?
