Poll: Preferred carrier for the iphone in Oz

So, which carrier is the preferred provider for the iphone in Oz? This may help Apple with negotiations:
  • telstra
  • optus
  • vodophone
  • three
  • virgin

I'd prefer Vodafone, Virgin or 3.

If it's Telstra then I won't get one.

i'll be seriously cut if telstra gets the deal. They are awful, and don't support macs very well. Neither does Optus for that fact. I had to set up my ADSL on my pc, and not my mac which sucked.

Telstra, just to annoy the Telstra haters!

Well, maybe not. Telstra for the coverage.

Apple will go with Telstra, biggest company, biggest marketing dollars, biggest network. It's true Telstra bad mouthed the Iphone originally but have since retracted that. It's also true that Telstra don't support macs but they don't have to in order to sell the iphone. It is a totally seperate market. The hypocracy of supporting the IPhone but not the mac will only matter to people like us

while telstra has the coverage, if apple made a 3G phone by sometime nxt yr, I think 3 or maybe vodafone would be a good choice... most likely because they got the vibe that teens and young adults like, as well as good caps & prepay, keep in mind that the teenage and young adult markets are the biggest sellers for iPods. (:

Exactly... Telstra can stick it up their arse...

I'd say they've bad-mouthed because they know they're out of the running...

It'll definitely be Vodafone. Apple is already in late-stage talks with Vodafone UK regarding the iPhone, so it'd only make sense for that relationship to filter down to Aus and NZ.
