iStat menu - memory usage
The memory panel fills up (4Gb Ram) in use, but when all programs are closed the memory is still 'full' and doesn't drop unless I do a restart.

Is this a fault with iStat menus, my computer (Mac Pro 2 x 3Ghz core 2 duo), or is it normal behaviour? When this happens I get the beachball regularly

its just the way OS X works. Alot of memory will stay as "inactive" which is very similar to free memory.
