iStat wireless not working after installing Norton 2008
I'm using Vista and Norton 2007.
The iStat wireless gadget works perfectly.

Now I have installed Norton 2008 and now its not working anymore. it shows only 0%.

Norton is blocking something. After deinstalling Norton the gadget is working.

What is this gadget doing?

Please help, because I love this gadget !!!

All other gadgets are working well with Norton 2008

Unfortunately we can't really do anything about it. We get our info from the gadget api's that microsoft provide so if there is an issue then its something Microsoft/Norton need to fix

Works great with my laptop before i installed norton internet security 2008. After installing norton, it just gives me a Disconnected status... Hope a new fix will be out soon. Thanks.

Seriously, remove Norton 2008, if you need AV protection, install ClamX AV.

As iSlayer has cleared stated, there is no fix on iSlayer's end. There is obviously some conflict between Norton and Windows. It's time to move on.

I have changed to: Zone Alarm Pro Firewall and
NOD32 Antivir.

Perfect speed, everything ist working. Smb interested in a Norton 2008 Soft ? ;-)

Microsoft do have a fix for this issue, its just not a generally available hotfix, you need to contact them for it. I just did and it works fine - islayers gadgets now work fine.
