I just got it installed too.

On my iBook G4 the temp. sensing seems to be playing up a little. Is this normal?

FYI to other testers...
spilla's temperature issue is a global problem with PowerPC systems. Will be fixed in another beta tomorrow

Good to hear it's not just my iBook. I'm assuming we'll have to manually update?

If you need a Macbook (non-pro) tester with beta-testing and programming experience, I'm more then willing!

BTW What does this offer over MenuMeters? Is it just a nicer/better/more customisable interface?

It can monitor things MM cant such as fan speeds, temperatures(MM only does cpu temp from memory and doesnt support intel systems), Bluetooth kb/mouse battery levels.
iStat menus also has a clock extra that can show the time and date for locations all around the world.

And yes we like to think ours looks prettier

Judging by your UI work on the various widgets that I have used, I imagine it probably will be!

OMG just installed, this is really great. I thought the widgets were as good as your developments could get, but you guys have really outdone yourselves. The clock feature is lovely, (I prefer clicking in the menubar then going into dashboard). If the widgets weren't a good enough reason to donate already then this will be. This just feels like a $20 app to be honest, and I understand it will be released free of charge? It is quite beautiful, compared to the ugly menumeters (yes I think it's ugly) this is just great oh god I'm foaming at the mouth...

EDIT - oh and a screenshot

Looks good on the macbook Core2Duo. I'll install it on some other machines tomorrow and over the weekend.

I loaded up photoshop to see what happened when application items clashed with the new menubar and the application fairly gracefully eats whatever is on the right. That said it's not hard to fill the entire bar on the tiny mb screen.

It looks good iSlayer, I like the drop down information. I'll let you know if I uncover any issues.

The Bluetooth menubar item doesn't differentiate between disabled/enabled/in use, unlike the Apple version. Any plans to change this?
