BETA RELEASED!

iStat pro 3.0 beta 1 is the first public release of the next incarnation of the chart topping system monitoring widget. 4 new skins are included which all feature fully anti-aliased cpu and memory usage graphs complete with beautiful gradients.

Also added is the ability to choose which drives, network interfaces, temp sensors and fan sensors are displayed, giving you complete control over what you want to monitor.

Due to popular demand the processes section previously found in the 1.0 release has been re-added.

Sorry it's taken so long It should be very close to perfect though. Please post any issues in this thread with as much detail as possible including OS X version and mac model.

- Image preloading for the back (will stop the flickering)

On a sad note I have found that the beta has just crashed on me for no reason

I had dashboard open and after around 30 seconds had an apple prompt come up stating that the program had crashed.

I am running a 2ghz Macbook Pro with 2gigs of ram, also running 10.4.7

Nothing major was running at the time of the crash (only program running was msn messenger over wireless)

Not sure if its helpful or nor but I have pasted the error message that would have been sent to Apple

Is there suppose to be fan/temp support for the macbook as i am unable to get any stats for them on my macbook.

I think that's the only important bit.

If you had a previous version running, then maybe try closing the widget, deleting prefs and opening again. There's so much that's changed... the old prefs might be killing it.

yeah on my imac G5 it all worked sweet but my macbook pro the fan and temp didn't work

I trashed the old version so we shall see how we go

In regards to the temps I am able to get a reading with no problems at all on my MBP, the only thing that isnt working would be the fans

The only program that I can think of that may be allowing temp readings to show up might possibly be the intel core duo program that a friend gave me a copy of
