Default Apple Memory and RAM Upgrades at our lowest prices ever

Hi Folks

Thanks to the strengthening aussie dollar we've got memory upgrades for all models of Apple computers at never before seen low prices. This pricing is only going to last while the USD to AUD exchange rate remains relatively high.

Here is just a few examples of the savings:

Nanya 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3-1066 RAM kit for the Unibody MacBook - reduced to $109.99

Elpida 8GB (4x2GB) DDR2-667 FBDIMM RAM kit for the original Mac Pro - reduced to $285.99

Nanya 8GB (4x2GB) DDR2-800 FBDIMM RAM kit for the 2008 Mac Pro - reduced to $290.99

Micron 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3-1066 ECC RAM kit for the 2009 Mac Pro - reduced to $206.99

This and plenty more memory upgrades for all brands of computers available at Laptop | PC | Computer Memory Upgrades - RamCity

cheers, RodB

We've got 4GB Elpida kits for the pre-unibody MBP's and MB's for $118.99, and 4GB Kingston kits for $132.99.

Update: Yours truly messed up the stock order on the elpida kits so for the rest of the week we'll be doing free upgrades to the Kingston kit if you order the Elpida kit. (until we get more stock in next Tuesday).

Here's the link:

Hi RodB,

Thanks for the info. The Nanya 4GB sounds good to me. Just one noob question. I have a new MacBook Unibody with 2GB. Can I just buy another 2GB to bring me up to 4GB or should I be using the same brand. Also, how does Nanya compare to Kensington in terms of quality.

Thanks for your help.

The Macbooks come from Apple with 2x1Gb modules installed. To upgrade to 4GB, you need to remove both factory modules and install the new kit.

Everything we sell has the same lifetime warranty and 30-day money back guarantee. We import the Nanya modules directly rather than buying them from a local distributor which gives us some savings which we pass on to customers. Quality-wise - we see no difference between the Kingston and Nanya modules we sell as the return rate is about 0.3% for both.

Everything is on sale - which model MacBook and Mac Mini do you have? If you are not sure, just post the modelID (i.e. MacBook1,1 or MacMini2,1)

Which model G5 do you have? If you are not sure, just post the modelID (i.e. PowerMac7,2)

Thanks for letting us know about these price drops. I just ordered RAM for four different Macs. The bulk discount is welcome too. As is the reasonable shipping costs...

That machine is a bit of a beast - 16GB maximum RAM capacity. It was released in 2.0, 2.3 and dual 2.5ghz flavours - but all take the same upgrades as shown here:

Apple PowerMac G5 Dual Core 2GHz (Late 2005) Memory and RAM upgrades

cheers, Rod

The RAM sounds pretty expensive. Just picked up Kingston Value RAM from Canada and USA - 2GB modules DDR3 PC8500 1066MHz for AU$40 each and includes shipping to Australia. And with a lifetime warranty worldwide. Works perfectly in my Macbook Pro and Mac Mini

$10-$12 difference is expensive? (BTW, we don't sell valueram for Macs - it's not guaranteed compatible and sometimes made with chips that macs don't like.)

Well, I was very happy with the price I paid for top quality RAM and I had it in my hand the next day. Rod even rang me personally to confirm my order. Great service! I have bought RAM from OS before a couple of times but I wouldn't bother now...

Just ordered a 4Gb upgrade for the new MBP and the wife's iMac from RAMcity. Anyone ran xBench tests before and after as per YouTube - How to upgrade the ram of a new 24" Intel based Apple Imac video?
