That's because it's 3.1.2

Glad to see I don't have to worry about the crashing now. It has been freaking me out.

Also thanks for posting the direct links, was working on grabbing those but for some reason my internet stopped working... when my tethered iPhone started to update lol

Suppose I have to play with the work computer for a while.

edit: Update was nice and quick, everything seems to be back up, tethering kicked straight back in. Will see how it goes.

Stuck using my 3 mobile broadband at the moment, so I'm thinking this might be an over night jobbie.

I have two iPhone on two different iMac's. Usually I could download the firmware and it would be kept in Library/Itunes but that folder not longer has old firmware.

Does anyone know where the firmware is downloaded to so I can then install it on the second iMac and not download it again?

Silly download limits!

~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

iTunes 9 wiped previous iPhone OS ipsws but 3.1.2 has been kept in the same location for me.

Why not plug your other iPhone into the Mac with the OS update? You can just update without syncing.

Safari locks up now everytime I try to open Mactalk, funny though it works everywhere else but Mactalk. I had to free the ram to get Safari working again.

was it the forum page of mactalk? if it was and you're set to the new theme, it does locks up safari even without the update. The new theme of the forum doesnt work very well on iPhone atm. Unless you're using the old forum theme, there should be no problem even with the update. Don't have problem with mine.

Others report no battery life improvement, but it seems better for me.

when surfing the net or checking emails on 3G I noticed my spinning wheel is sometimes on the right hand side of the time instead of the usual left near the 3G symbol, anyone else notice this??? I also noticed my VodaAU seems further away from my signal bars, Just wish I grabbed a screen shot
