Time to get the ball rolling, then...

Righto - so I purchased this BenQ G2000W monitor from petecario a couple of days ago. It has now been given a through workout, and it has preformed spectacularly.

Original FS thread:
http://forums.mactalk.com.au/27/6232...condition.html

Anyways, after a bit of back-and-forth in the thread between the seller and me, I arranged to have a look at the monitor when I would be up in Launceston, with the intention of only looking at the monitor, and not necessarily buying it (with the expectation that it would be plugged into a working machine, so I could check for dead pixels, etc). Petecario was fully aware of this (that I was coming up to only look) as per our PMs.

So I arrived at his house - he wasn't at home. That was okay, though - his mum (I think?) answered the door, and showed us the monitor. It wasn't connected to a computer like I had hoped, but I had a good look over it anyway - some slight smudges on the screen, but they're now gone thanks to ScreenSavrz.

It seemed okay, and since it wasn't plugged into a computer, his mum offered a refund in case I wasn't satisfied with it. As the case was, I was going to be passing through Launceston later in the week anyway, and she said I could always bring it back.

So that's what happened. I didn't bring it back, though - it's far too awesome.

Communication between the seller and I was excellent - he was more than happy to answer any questions I had.

Kudos to petercario for listing the price that he bought it for (instead of the price on the box) - exactly as it says on the receipt. I'd like to think that most people would, but you can never trust anyone...

I would definitely trade with petecario again. Top rating, mate!

I purchased Pete's external DVD burner:
http://forums.mactalk.com.au/22/6493...iter-ge20.html

Communication between myself and Pete was great, he was very friendly and helpful

Product was excellently packed (probably enough bubble wrap to survive a bomb blast ) and was exactly as described.

I'd happily recommend trading with Pete, and would certainly do it again
