Standard question: What version of iTunes are you using?

Did you convert the file to .mp4 or was it already in that format? If you did convert it, what program did you use and what file format was it in before?

I'm using 8.0.1

The file was my own dvd, ripped using mac the ripper, then converted to m4v using visual hub.

I am now trying to use the 'convert to iphone' option in itunes. Not sure why i have to do this if i used the iphone setting in visual hub?

That's weird. If you used the iPhone setting in VisualHub and the file is in iTunes, I don't know why it wouldn't be showing up in the sync list.

Delete it and select keep file. Then import it again. I had this happen a couple of times and the metadata that itunes stores somehow gets screwed. This helped me.

Thanks for the idea but no luck.

I don't understand why this occurs. Worse thing is i spent a lot of time today just doing the conversion!

Managed to work it out, man i can't believe how simple it was and how silly i feel.

I didn't even see the scroll bar, which meant that i could see the first movie, but could never see any other movies until i scrolled down. Man i feel like a dill.

The next thing I was going to ask you to do was take a screenshot. We would've worked it out from there.

Same problem but I can't get the movies to sync not matter what I do, they sync fine with my iPod but will not sync with my iPhone. I've tried deleting them and re-importing, re-importing using iSquint, converting to iPhone in iTunes and even exporting from iMovie. They are all in .m4v format but still will not sync. Anybody got any ideas .... ???

Ah, found it ... doesn't sync movies by default anymore even if selected, set to sync manually and then move them to the iPhone and it works fine ...

Apple ... it just works .... apart from when it doesn't !!
