Well I'm thinking about purchasing a DVD Burner, not sure which way to go about things, as I have a windows Desktop and an iBook and it would be great if it worked well on both, I have a few options i'm going over, one being to purchase and external Lacie or mac compatible drive from anywhere between 200-300 in cashola, or purchasing a Pioneer drive, and an external case for it, which will work out to be quite a bit cheaper.

Does anyone here have experience with these external cases? Do they work well? Also does anyone have a pioneer drive they are using on a mac?

Search before you post please: http://forums.appletalk.com.au/index.php?s...opic=11296&st=0

You might need PatchBurn to get the drive working with iLife + Finder: http://www.patchburn.de/

Its a bit old now i have a pioneer 107D in a firewire case its really good. These days try a pioneer 109 with patchburn in external case. Then to make it work better flash it with the latest rpc1 firmware from http://forum.rpc1.org/

Ok Thanks guys, I got an internal pioneer 110d and got a case for it, seems to work sweet, no tinkering at all.
