G'day People,
I am fairly new to apple computers and am trying to set up an Airport Express with my Imac G5.
I just purchased the airport express and airport extreme card today, i have installed the card i'm pretty sure correctly not much to it. But when i plug in the airport express, the led continues to flash amber. I only have a usb printer attached and they are only about 4m apart with nothing in between. I have tried reseting the the airport express and turning of microwaves and cordless phones, all to no avail.

Any idea's starting to get really frustrated.

Have you tried using the Airport Setup Assistant ?? (at the desktop select Go>Utilities)

Well i got so its working, its printing but status light is still flashing amber at me. Is that because I'm not using it for the internet, i'm hoping thats the reason it's all i can see.

this an explanation from apple as to what the lights mean...

so if you're not using the APEx to connect to the internet, it will not show green.

I think that flashing amber status light is going to become annoying quite quickly. gonna need to cover it with something
