I have a powerbook G4. Bought an airport extreme card, installed it, then tried to install the software. Unfortunately i couldn't get very far because the mac doesn't even recognise the card. When I run the airpor helper, it finds no card. What's the problem here?

Make sure it is installed properly. My iBook did that, I re-seated it (took it out, put it back in again) and it's been fine ever since.
