Airport Express no longer found on both laptops

I have been successfully accessing my Airport Express on both my Macbook Pro and my wife's Macbook since we got them with no problems. But suddenly neither laptop can now find the Airport, even though my iMac desktop can. We haven't changed any settings, or gotten any new stuff that can interfere with the signal. Our laptops are within 3 meters of the airport at all times, yet neither can find it. Any suggestions?

Strange. . . I have exactly the same problem. About a week ago my partner's Macbook stopped connecting to our Airport Express (1st Gen) while my iMac continues to connect flawlessly.

I've tried different channels on the Airport to no avail. I was thinking maybe the seating of the antenna plug on the Macbook airport card - though she's a bit reluctant to let me pull it apart and have a look .

Coincidence or Conspiracy?

Try restarting the Airport Express. (by disconnecting the power, then re-connecting)

it happens sometimes for me where my mbp or my wife's imac doesn't connect but my iphone would still connect so i just restart and it works fine. bit annoying but it's not a big deal.

I constantly have to restart an Express I have plugged in at, ermm, work. Several times a week

Surely the AE must be a little bit more stable than this??!?

Awesome. I'm not sure what the difference is, but restarting by removing the power seems to have worked - while a soft restart through the admin utility didn't.

I'm having no luck. I have soft restarted and hard restarted, set up a new network, moved the airport, and nothing has worked. Neither laptop can find the airport. I don't know what else to do. Do you think the airport has had it?
