"Max" Wireless Modem/Router

I have been researching wireless modems/routers for a few weeks now and basically I am sold on the Netgear DG834G based on all the forum comments here and at Whirlpool.

However, my question is, when I looked at the specs on the Netgear website it has this diagram outlining the virtues of other Netgear wireless modems/routers.

Is it worth considering the Rangemax and Rangemax Wireless N products?

To put some context around this, I have an ADSL 2+ connection, as of Christmas will have an iMac 20" Mid 2007 (Machine ID 7,1), and am looking at getting a EEE or Aspire One next year for my wife to use in the bedroom/lounge. I also use an Minitar ATA for voip.

I sold a Netgear DG834G on Monday on MacTalk for a bargain. I'm also using another one at the moment. They are very good modems/routers.

If you're going to need the other fancy stuff, then have you looked at getting an AirPort Extreme? I was going to buy one of these on Sunday except it doesn't have an ADSL modem included.

Maybe it comes down to price.

Can you afford it? If so, get it. Otherwise, no.

For me, I could not afford those features and I am happy to go without. The basic router is perfect and I have been using it for over 3 years (DG834G). Just don't try to flash the firmware over wireless.
