third party web cam

hi I have an old iBook and want to give it to my old man so he does not have to pay to call me + he can see me and me him but I have not found one web cam that works works with Mac (10.4.11). So I was wondering if anyone here knows of one that does work but I would like to keep the cost under $100

thanks

install macam.. then any shitty $10 webcam (from dealextreme.com) will work.
Alternatively I'm told that the xbox 360 webcams work natively on macs - but not sure about whether or not they'll work in Tiger.

i've seen several resellers stock the Logitech QuickCamฎ Vision Pro for Mac ( Product link: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/we.../4528&cl=au,en )

Works with 10.4.11... RRP is 229.95 but a quick check on staticice shows u can get it for less than that... Streetwise also lists the quickcam pro 9000 ( Streetwise Australia: Web Cameras ), so that might be a cheaper option..

Macam will work fine under skype, the xbox webcam will do nicely.

Any webcam that says "Vista ready" should be UVC compliant, which means it should have native support in both 10.5.x and 10.4.(9?)+. The Xbox 360 cams are UVC, which is why they work natively. So are the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000s.
