Printer suggestions: Mac/PC + wireless + multifunction

Hey all,

I am looking for a new multifunction printer for the home network and am seeking your advice.

It has to be multifunction and work wirelessly with both PCs and Macs.

In particular, if you have any experience with the HP C4580, C6380 or C7280 please share.

Cheers guys,
Dave.

I had a read of the threat. The issue is that I'm looking for a wireless printer.

lenman74: Have you had any issues with the duplex? Wireless dropping out when the printer goes to sleep? Setup with PC comps? The reviews on the apple website seem to raise these issues...

I just got a C7280 recently. Working fine with wireless with 2 Macs and 1 PC. A bit slower at printing than I'm used to, but I think that's because I've been pampered with a laser for a few years. It's also great because of the 02 ink system.

Thanks Soliah. I'm thinking this is going to be the best option. There just seems to be a lot of mixed reviews about it on Apple's website. Have you tried the fax?

Yea, there seem to be a few negatives there. I've dealt with a network printer before so I always make sure I give it a static IP and always use the latest drivers from HP's website. I haven't had a chance to use the fax as yet though.

Edit: Just received 2 faxes fine Haven't sent any as yet though, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks for getting back to me mate, legend. I'm putting the negative reviews down to ppl unsure of what they are doing!
