Have a strange problem hope someone can help, I put a USB 2 PCI card in my Mac MDD and it was working ok then I plugged my flash drive into it without any problems but then I shut down the mac and without thinking took the flash drive out instead of using the eject option { So use to using a PC } and now it won't detect the flash drive in the USB 2 ports but my keyboard and mouse are detected ok.

Does disk utility see the flash drive ?
It may be as simple as plugging in the flash drive then shutting down the Mac and rebooting.
By the way, any USB stick , flash drive etc should be put away properly on both Macs and PCs before pulling them out .

Tryed disk utility but it gets to the gathering information screen then just its there ond dose nothing untill I unplugg the flash drive then it detects my HDD and DVD ok. But if I plugg the fash drive into the USB 1.1 ports it everything gets detected ok.

Tried taking every thing off the flash drive and reformatting on my PC then plugged it into the mac and it detected it ok in the USB 2 ports but then after putting my stuff back on it then tried it again on the Mack and it shows up in disk utility's but not on desktop until I unplugged it and used the 1.1 ports, Also the mac wont shut down if the flash drive is plugged into the USB 2 ports?
