Formac FGD2010 LCD - any info?

I've just been given one of these displays (a computer shop was just giving it away ) and I can't find much info on it - no user manual, no reviews. It has an ADC connector so it's not much use with my Macbook, but if I knew more about it I might be able to work out whether I have any use for it at all.

Does anyone have one of these, so I can get some actual user feedback on what (if anything) it's good for?

Either way, you will need a power adapter for it, or a g4/5 mac to run it from.

To use it with a normal computer's video output, you will need a Dr Bott DVIator - they're not cheap though. Otherwise you're limited to using it on a G4 or G5 with a stock Apple videocard that sports an ADC connector instead of a DVI one.

Personally? I'd try & sell it here (or eBay), there's bound to be some other old-schoolers who wouldn't mind an ADC monitor.

I'd be interested if you decide to sell. I'm in Perth though and postage might be a killer. If it's got it's power supply I can offer $200 inc post.

mickbee, ADC monitors are powered via the cable that comes from the computer.

That was the great thing about ADC, only 1 cable from the computer to the monitor, that included power, usb and the video signal.

I found this mention on teh interwebs at: MacUser: Product Reviews: Formac Gallery 2010
The Gallery 2010 doesn't use ADC to its full potential - drawing power, video and USB through a single connector. The Gallery's power must still be provided separately, but it uses a cunning device called, imaginatively, the Formac Display Connector (FDC). This is a small box near the end of the video cable which the power supply plugs into. This means there is still only one cable in the back of the display, keeping things neat and tidy.
So I guess I'm asking if the cable with the necessary connector is there.

Yes, it comes with that cable, exactly as described.
