I have a booted external fire wire drive hanging off an old DA G4 that I use as my media server for my Apple TV. The G4 is a little flakey and requires a restart every few days. I had to restart it the other day and, after the restart, I could not sync the apple TV through iTunes.

When I attempt to sync, it asks me to check my firewall to make sure a particular port - I have tried to open up this port through the firewall. No luck - still won't sync. It will stream the media from the G4.

Any ideas?

24 Hours later - will now sync on demand - no changes made to settings - no idea why - but now no problems!
