Virgin Mobile Broadband
G'day.

Does anyone have experience of Virgin Mobile Broadband products? Specifically, the 5GB plan with the Huawei E169 USB modem.

I'm running MacOSX 10.5.5 on a MacBook, and have previously tried to get connected with them using the older modem. It didn't work, and they said it wasn't supported.

Their FAQ states you need 10.4 and above.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience of it actually working...

I'll need it by Wednesday...

Location: Brisbane
Install the driver package and then use network preferences to configure the Huawei network port as "generic" vendor and "gprs/3g" modem. Find out the access point for virgin and put it in. Set the dialling number to *99# and connect

Thanks Exocet. I did try that with the old modem, but still couldn't get it working. The people at Virgin said 10.5 wasn't supported at the time.
