Which keyboard?
I do a lot of typing on my Macs, and I need a new keyboard. Any recommendations?
My hunch is that a lot of those that look funky aren't actually that ergonomic or comfortable to do volume typing.

i use the older pro mac keyboard, the one BEFORE the current slimline keyboard. i use that when trying up assignments for uni (finshed for the year thank god). that works well, also the logitech and razer keyboards are quite nice if you fancy a bit of gaming as well.

Best keyboard I use for typing is the standard aluminium one from Apple. Has the best feel in my opinion out of all the keyboards out there. The best of the best for me though was the old Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard which I bought in 1995 to 1996. I'd love to convert it to USB and get it to run under OS-X. That is my dream.

If you're looking to do a HEAP of typing, why not get a keyboard that is actually enjoyable to type on?

I have a new Mac aluminium keyboard (a wireless version). It's the best keyboard I've used, by far.
Previously, I had a wireless Mac extended keyboard (one of the all-white ones):
I would highly recommend the new aluminium keyboards although initially I was unsure about the short key travel. I'm a touch-typist, and for me no other keyboard feels nearly as good.

Well, from the normal PC version, to the Apple's white wireless keyboard to the current "chiclet" keyboard fancied by Apple now all their keyboards....the "chiclet" keyboard is my favourite.
It was definitely some getting use to the new keyboard, but I ditched my wireless keyboard and favoured the one that was on my MacBook that debut the "chiclet" style....and haven't turned back! I find myself typing faster...but then again, it's all about practice! But I love the feel and the spacing between each character.

Yes. The slim aluminium keyboards are the same as the MacBook/Air/Pro keyboards now.

I still use an old Extended Keyboard II with a Griffin iMate ADB-USB adapter. Very clacky but big and plenty of room between keys.
Sort of re-incarnated in the Mathias Tactile Pro.

The current Aluminium Wireless Keyboard is the best I've ever used. Slick, fast, easy to clean.
And compact, the mouse ends up closer = less movement = less arm ache.
The current Aluminium keyboard is actually lower and faster again, but the keypad gets in my way. I prefer the mouse closer.
The new low profile keyboards are pretty slick. When you have to use an old clunker, you feel like you've gone back to the 1980s.

I currently use a wired Mac aluminium keyboard. As most have said it is the best keyboard I have used by far. I have used numerous keyboards on macs and PCs but this is the best by far.
The typing is so easy with the keys spaced well apart. Feedback to the fingers is good as well.

I agree that the wireless alu keyboard is the best i have used so far too, i was initially skeptical but now completely converted. Tried the Logitech Dinovo Edge, not too impressed. You can test it out yourself in the telstra mothership on swanston street, loads of them there on display for every computer there is...prefer the alu keyboard.
