Printer Drivers
Hi all,
I am relatively new to Mac's although been involved with PC's for a fair while and now I have a MacBook that I am trying to set up printers for.
I have a wireless network using Draytec 2800VG which has a Samsung CLP-500 and a Brother MFC7400 connected via print servers attached to it. With help from this forum I have been able to get the Samsung working and am now trying to get the brother working.
There are drivers available for the brother if it is connected via a USB port but nothing else.
My question is, as the printer connects to the server via USB is there anyway that you can set up the printer through the USB and then change the port. I ask this because I have managed to do this in Windows and was not sure if it can be done in Mac 10.5.5.
The other printer I am trying to set up is a portable Brother MP-21C. This is solely a Notebook printer which I used with my previous Asus notebook running Win XP. I have not been able to find any drivers for this printer. If I can't use it with my Mac it will be a shame as it is small enough to fit in the carry bag with the Macbook.
Any help would be appreciated but please remember I am relatively new to the MAC system and am still feeling my way around.
Thanks
Harcomp
