Airport Extreme and Netcomm...

Okay this may seem very simple, please no flaming just seeking clarification.

I am am about to move out of my fiancees parents place where I have connected to telstra cable (yes I do pay for it, but it is very fast!!!) At the moment I am running a dual network N through the extreme and a/g through an express. Sooo I am going to port the telstra account to my bro inlaws name and connect to an iinet naked plan.

If I take his Netcomm NB5lus4W will I be able to bridge this the same way I have the setup mentioned above? Or will the Netcomm modem router bugger it all up? I am being nice and leaving the express with the inlaws...

Also does anyone have this Netcomm modem? Is it any good? Does VoIP work well with it?

Cheers.

I dunno about the modem/router, but just so you know:

You can connect your b/g devices to your Airport Extreme - no need to run the express unless you have it as a repeater station. All you need to do is change the "Radio Mode" to "802.11n (802.11b/g compatible)". Unless you mean you are running 802.11a through the express, in which case you should set the mode to "802.11n (802.11a compatible)" AFAIK you can not run 802.11a and 802.11g through the same AP, as you are describing?

i'd use the netcomm in it's full modem / router mode, use it's wireless for your b/g network and put the airport into bridge mode to keep your n network.

I do exactly that with my NB5Plus4W (b/g) + AEB (n) . Works fine.

I've had the netcomm for a couple of years now, never had any real problems with it, but I don't use it for VOIP.

I want to keep the two networks separate to run an a/g and a specific n network. Have macbook and atv on N and the iphone and work windoze a/g machines on other one to keep speed at highest throughput.

Thanks

Thanks was looking to do that, just wanted to make sure it is possible. Have always used Apple routers until now, just seeing if there were any little quirks people know about.

Thanks for the advice.
