seagate freeagent 1TB's going for $169

At OfficeWorks until the stock is gone.

They only have USB 2 and they are the old model but with the A$ low the new shipment is over $300.

This is in SA - dunno about other states.

I've totally lost confidence in Firewire since the notebook refresh. From now on, every device I get will be USB.

There's eSata (not of use to Macs), and USB-which is what most of us is connecting the Seagate via.

Do those Seagate drives even have eSATA? I know that the drive itself is a SATA drive, but one of my friends at uni has a 500GB FreeAgent drive, and its only got USB, which IMHO is inexcusable on a SATA enclosure.
