Just wondering if anyone has a fix for this.
I recently installed a 9800 Pro into my G5 powermac and ever since then the fan at the front of the pci area has been spinning up and down atleat once every 60 seconds or if i refresh a screen of data.
it is truely strange and anoying, maybe its the sensor im just wondering if anyone is having the same issue or might know how to make the sensor not to sensitive.

I thought it was maybe a video card overheating issue so i installed an ati silencer but its still doing it even though the card is stone cold.

Updated the firmware on your G5 at all?

Do a reinstall and see if that helps.
if it still happens after a reinstall then use the 10.3.9 combo updater.
ive had the same prob with my radeon 9800 but i havent had it happen for ages(mainly because i rarely use my g5) but it seems to be fine
it doesnt happen in my build of 10.4 either so if your getting that next weeks it should fix it if nothing else will
