3 Mobile Broadband connection options

I'm considering 3 Mobile Broadband and wondered if anyone had any suggestions about which connection option would be the most suitable and deliver the fastest speeds. I have an iBook.

Here's the blurb from their website:

3 Mobile Broadband USB Modem
It's simple and versatile. Simply plug it into your Mac or Windows laptop and away you go. You can even plug it into your desktop. For Macs we provide you with a CD that will help you with installation.

3 Mobile Broadband Card
It's sleek design fits neatly into your Mac or Windows laptop for maximum portability. It's compatible with both PC Express and PCMCIA PC card slots.

Internet Key
Your key to stylish and personal Mobile Broadband. It's compact size and true plug & play experience, allows you to insert it into a Mac or Windows PC for simple Internet access and ultimate mobility. Available in two colours: soft touch black and shiny white.

3 Mobile as a Modem
You can also use your 3 Mobile as a modem. It's great for occasional use, and whilst browsing you can still make and receive calls. Simply choose any of the Mobile Broadband plans with no contract commitment.

i would say that the internet key will be the best. The USB Modem is abit bulky to carry around and it's optimised for 3.6Mbps only, while the internet key is small, also connects through USB, and is optimised for 7.2Mbps, which is an important consideration especially when 3 is currently upgrading their network speeds.

The broadband card is less versatile because you need a data card slot and not all computers have one, while using your mobile phone as a modem just decreases battery life of your phone.

Also, 3 provide full Mac support so that's also a bonus.

the new internet key (E160) only supports 3.6Mbps, only the old internet key (E169) and the old usb dongle (E220) support 7.2Mbps. The upside of the new key is that it has an external antenna port & can be used as a flash drive, if u buy a microsd card.
