Help setting up complete MAC home network! with PS3's 360 iMac Macbook and iPhone!
I am looking at making the switch in my home to be completely MAC.
Heres what I have:
x2 PS2 (wireless)
XBOX 360 (wireless)
planning on:
x2 iMac's (one will have a HP Printer next to it)
x1 Windows Laptop/Macbook
x1 Airport Extreme/TimeCapsule
x1 Airport Express
I need peoples advice on how to set this network up and if its all compatible.
I was thinking:
1. Getting a airport Extreme to plug into my Optus Cable Broadband connection.
2. Then getting a Airport Express to go into the room where 1 of the imacs and HP printer is, and use it as a wireless extender, and also plug the printer into the Airport express, so all the PC's and Laptops can see it in the house.
The main reason for this is, the Optus Cable Connection and the Printer are not in the same room, or anywhere near each other, thus the reason for both the Airport Extreme and Airport Express.
3. I need to make sure 100% that the PS3's and 360 can see and use the Airport Extremes Wireless Connection for online gaming and streaming of SD Video and Music. I read the PS3 has no issues, but the 360's wireless adaptor DID have issues with the Airport's, but a recent firmware update may have fixed this issue?
Cheers.
