I got rid of my mighty mouse a couple of weeks after getting it. So annoying having to clean it just to scroll.

I use a Razer Copperhead now, works well and great for games.

Mighty Mouse is a terrible mouse IMO, there are plenty of other alternatives out there that are much better (and often cheaper). Some people just need the "Apple" package

If you'd used anything half decent before a Mighty Mouse, you'd never keep one!

Finally ordered a MX Revolution - can't wait to ditch this Mighty Mouse, even though it is a great mouse (my nipple hasn't clogged, yet).

I seriously despise my Mighty Mouse.

Recently my battery died in my MX 1000 Laser mouse and the battery can't be replaced. So I've been forced to use this... this... piece of bleh.

The only reason I don't throw it against a wall in anger and frustration is that I like to keep all my equipment in good condition so that I can sell it down the road. This iMac, however, may be short an MM if I don't find a replacement soon though

Opening the mouse to clean the ball is not nessesary.

1. Turn off/unplug your mighty mouse
2. Get a White piece of paper (nothing printed on)
3. Turn your mouse upside down and roll the ball on the paper whilst applying a firm pressure.

If done right all the gunk should have come out from under the ball

I haven't had any problems with the scrollball, but I hate the right click, I'm really used to it from having used windows for so long. I find the tempermental right click shits me, as well as the tracking which is poor compared to other mice.

The MX revolution looks good, does the side scroll wheel work well? I really like the precision of the MM scrollball. Also what is the lag like, the weight and lag of wireless mice has always put me off them.

The guy is a bit of a douche but this is the best method I've come across for cleaning the ball. Works perfectly every time.
