Question Anyone using Taurus RAID II? Buyer questions.
I am looking at Taurus RAID dual bay case. anyone using it?
  • Does it spin down /sleep when not used?
  • Some reviewers say that it's "Very noisy", more noisy than other similar devices. Those reviews may be about Taurus RAID I, not II ?
  • Also some reports that not all drives are compatible. I am looking at 2x1TB.
  • Is it okay to buy hard drives online? They get thrown around in Post transit. Will there be more chance of dead drive this way? They get drives delivered differently at local PC/Mac shop?
  • it has external power. Why I read that it's bad? I think it's better because it won't produce more fan noise to cool power transformer inside case.
  • It looks same as Iomega UltraMax. Is it same/rebranded enclosure? (that Iomega one has terrible reviews at Apple Store (Australia))
