I used to have two 23" ACD with my MacPro, I just ordered 2 x 30", they are the best. A little bit expensive but you pay for what you get!

what is your desk size?
You will bust your neck with a 30" on a standard desk....in my experience the desk needs to be at least 900mm deep.

I have a 30" as my main screen and a 24" as a side screen. I have no problems with busting my neck and I think it's the best of both worlds. (Dual 30" is a bit rich for me)

I was thinking 1 x 30" ACD+ 1 x 23" ACD, but I changed my mind after i seen them side by side. the resolution as extended desktop is wired...for two 30" they are just perfect pair. movies. internet. video chat etc...

well Al Gore is really working hard on that PowerPoint slide.
seriously, the 24" Dell 2408 is the best on the market. I'd suggest two and then a smaller 22" or similair to be used as an 'reasearch area" (for all the other apps).
I've used the 30" Dell models and found the too big unless you can sit more than three feet away from them.

I went with a single 30" dell rather than 2x 24" Dell. Price was much the same as the 30" were on sale.
The pixels are much smaller on the 30" and to read a standard web page from a distance is challenging for my eyesight. 2x 24" would be better I think.

I decided on 2x24" instead of 1x30", I spend most of my day in InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator - so the ability to have palettes on one monitor and a clear work space on the other is fantastic!

You just need time to get used to them. You can't sit down for 2 hours and expect them to feel fine. When I went from a 17" CRT to a 20" Benq it took me around 2 days to get used to the size.
Go for 2 LCDs so you can even watch video/tv on one when surfing around the internet.

yeah thats what i find appealing with the 2 x 24" the fact that i can spread the palettes and toolbars and boxes around all at once and simultaneously use suite apps and a web browser.
thanks for all these comments!

Same with me. When I went from a 15in lcd to a 21 it felt like I had the Deathstar on my desk.
Now I would love two side by side because I find I'm always running a dvd in the background. Also for some of the Apps I use its useful to have palettes on one and workspace on the other.
