As for a re design. it is a pretty nice design id say if they changed it theres a chance it wouldnt be as good as this current model and in saying that i would love to see a new ACD but does it need an update .... not really atm

And before anyone says something like "Ewwww, I don't want glass" imagine for a moment if you will... that only the black border is glass... but the display area is not covered by the glass.

What I am saying is do you really NEED all of the above things, or are they just bundled into inferior screens to make them more salable? Apples target market is the professional user who doesn't really need these things built into their screen.
If you want a USB 2.0 card reader then buy one.
My ACD is on my work desk, not my lounge room. I don't want to play Xbox on my work desk.
If you want an iSight to go with your new ACD, then Apple will sell you iSight v2.0
There are a lot of companies and people, including myself, who would rather not have to pay to have a camera in what is a predominantly work orientated product. Sure it would be "handy" to have one there, but it is not necessary. I would much rather see a significant drop in price for a what is a good looking screen, rather than chuck in useless crap that I may or may not need, just to make the screen more attractive.

You might be right but they are slim like LCS and Plasma Tv's so you never know.

With regards to people saying that with pro monitors and that they do not need or want card readers or a small in-built i sight I say why not?

If anything I would see a pro wanting a card reader for example more then not wanting 1 built into the monitor.

I'm going to say "Ewww, super-wide bezel!". If anything, the bezel has to become thinner. Also, the design is very non-pro. I'm guessing Apple will stick to the neutral colour scheme, and as little distracting form as possible. The ACD is a professional tool, not a living room accessory.

Cheers
Steffen.

Well, it's not like I'm Jonathan Ive... so don't worry, they wont look like that. I was just throwing it out there is all.

I'd be happy if they looked the same and the iSight was the only addition.
